About Us Since 1986, Family Resources has distinguished itself as a leader in combating child abuse and providing support and treatment services to families in Western Pennsylvania. We offer innovative programs that have a measurable impact in preventing abuse. Where abuse occurs, we treat the whole family -- the perpetrators of violence as well as the victims. We continue to work with health care providers and other social service organizations to become even more effective in providing parents and other caregivers with the support they need to raise happy, healthy children. The aim of Family Resources is to reduce the prevalence of child abuse in Western Pennsylvania by providing innovative and comprehensive services that change public behavior and policy and intervene with families at risk. The acquisition of Parental Stress Center services and facilities on March 1, 2010 takes us one step closer to achieving this vision by expanding our capacity to prevent and treat child abuse through three programs: in-home family unification services in Allegheny and Westmoreland Counties, a supervised visitation program for families referred by Family Court and a community-based initiatives program that helps strengthen families and neighborhoods. |
