With a keen focus on understanding and supporting families before, during, and after critical times of need, we develop connected, individualized plans for better futures and the elimination of abuse.

Our Beverly Jewel Wall Lovelace (BJWL) Out-of-School Time Program provides free neighborhood resources to 16 public and subsidized housing sites and two elementary schools. Here, we inspire learning, keep children safe and promote well-being for over 1,500 children each year.
One Kind Word teaches adults how to positively and helpfully intervene when parents and children get into conflict in public settings.
The Hill District Center for Nurturing Families (Hill District) provides parent education and support, opportunities for family interactive groups and family goal planning, as well as child development through school-readiness activities.
For parents with children aged 0-5, the First Steps program assists families experiencing the challenges of positively raising a young child. We work with families to provide an environment that fosters child well-being so that children can stay safely at home.
Through parent education, child development and parent support, Reach Out to Families seeks to build family functioning, resiliency and strength.
Our targeted Intervention Services support children, adults, and families currently experiencing conflict. Here, we are able to teach crucial skills and tools at a time when they are needed most.
Children who are at risk of being placed outside of their home or community require focused, compassionate support.
Joint Planning Team supports children with a mental health diagnosis. Wraparound facilitators address the unique needs of the child and family and develop an individualized plan of care. Here, our goal is to enable the child to remain safely in their home and community.Family Resources conducts the High Fidelity Wraparound Program in partnership with the Allegheny County Joint Planning Teams.
Healthy families are built upon healthy relationships. Parenting skills and family functioning are enhanced through our Parent-Teen Mediation Program.
Family Unification Services provide support and education for families who are at-risk of separation, or have been separated and are working toward reunification and developing positive relationship patterns and skills.
Our Treatment services provide education and coping strategies for children and families who have experienced trauma.
Our innovative Therapeutic Preschool supports emotional and social learning and provides pre-kindergarten education services so children who have experienced trauma can heal, build confidence and be successfully enrolled in kindergarten.
The Counseling Center at Family Resources employs scientifically proven practices that work to positively change interactions, roles, and patterns of behavior so that families can reach their full potential. Here, treatment focuses on how we can empower and strengthen the entire family, and pave positive paths forward.
Family Focused Solution Based Services are evidence based and enable children and families, together, to develop strategies toward healing and strength building.
Family-Based Mental Health Services support child, adolescent and adult family members affected by mental health issues through collaborative and comprehensive therapeutic interventions.
