Family Resources is grateful for all gifts, regardless of size, to promote its mission. There are many ways to give.

Advocating For Children

On a regular basis, we step back from the day-to-day pressures and do a little strategic thinking: How, for example, can bystanders channel the power of a kind word to ease parent-child stress? How can ordinary people create extraordinary change in their communities? How can a short-of-attention world be reminded that abuse prevention is more urgent than ever? How can we all influence public policies that affect the region’s families?

Experience has shown that we can fight child abuse, build stronger communities, and multiply our impact by devoting time and resources to government relations, in which we hope to influence public policies, institutional practices, and cultural norms; to community relations programs like the Be the Difference Campaign, OneKindWord, and National Child Abuse Prevention Month, with its popular spring benefit gala.
